ASF Adaptive Sports is a division of Action Sports Foundation, a Florida based charitable organization whose Mission is to promote responsibility and goodwill throughout the community through the platform of action sports.

Our primary focus is providing public education, creating safety-based training materials and programs, establishing youth and adaptive sports programs, and serving as a resource to action sports athletes, organizations, and industry.

SoCal WCMX partners with Junior Wheelchair Sports Camps to bring their Mobile Skatepark Program to youth across the country, offering recreational sporting opportunities to wheelchair users with the goal of increasing participants' confidence, self-esteem and chair skills, and also focuses on developing competitive athletes who continue to push the progression of WCMX.

Skatepark Layout

The long awaited St. Petersburg Skatepark is now open to the public and it is with great pleasure to have the first WCMX/Adaptive Skate competition. You will be amazed on the size and accessibility this park has.

Skatepark Policies

Skateboarding and WCMX are “High Risk Activities”. Wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards at all times. (Know your ability and skate or ride accordingly.)<

Steve Sadler

President ASF Adaptive Sports

Steve Sadler is the founder of ASF and owner of Paver Sealing Florida, and has spent the past 12 years bringing ASF from an idea to reality. He is Paver Sealing industry expert with over 20 years working in the business world. Steve is most fulfilled when helping people to grow. His vision and ability to nurture relationships lead to long-term solutions and success.

Tina Tallman

Vice President ASF Adaptive Sports

Tina Tallman has been a physical therapist assistant for the past 21 years. She has been working in home health for the past 15 years with a specialty in pediatrics and adult special needs therapy services. Her passion is working with the special needs community and she has created an adaptive fitness program at Me&U Fitness Academy.

Tony Torres

Executive Director ASF Adaptive Sports

Tony Torres is a graphic designer, author of Jimmy Wheelz, WCMX athlete and Executive Director who works with ASF Adaptive Sports to help the special needs community through athletic activities. Tony believes that through adaptive sports, individuals gain healthy habits all while building self-esteem and self-confidence.

Anthony Quinones

Event Coordinator ASF Adaptive Sports

Since 2014, Anthony Quinones has been a big supporter of WCMX in the central Florida region and has been responsible for the organization of adaptive sports programs with ASF Adaptive Sports in Tampa Bay. His bi-cultural background and focus on community collaboration has led him to a number of volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles.

No, it is free for everyone. We want you to save your money and visit the surrounding areas. Enjoy what our community has to offer.

Yes, we have set up the day prior, Feb. 15th 6:00 PM-9:00 PM, for practice and to welcome everyone. The morning of Feb. 16th from 10am to 11:30AM is set for warm ups, practice and athlete mentorship program. It is where we team up a pro athletes with new comers to teach them about the sport.

Classifications and rules are within the athlete welcome package. Read things carefully and shoot us an email if you have any questions. Socal WCMX from California, will bring the officials that will judge the WCMX and Adaptive Skate competitions. St Pete Skatepark Alliance will judge the Bowl Contest.
